098 Beyond the One Percent

An Interview with Karl Rehn about his excellent presentation at Tac-Con this year.  One of the big hits was his illustration of the Dunning-Kruger effect highlighting “The Peak of Mount Stupid” and “The Valley of Despair.”

097 The Early Days of the Officer Survival Movement

DENNIS ANDERSON AND THE DAWN OF THE OFFICER SURVIVAL MOVEMENT

Denny Anderson was “in at the beginning” of the Officer Survival training movement in the early 1970s, which in turn was the seedbed for much of what is now doctrine for law-abiding armed citizens.  Joining with Chuck Remsberg, Tom McTernan, and Ron Adams, he co-wrote the timeless “Street Survival” book, and he and Remsberg created the Caliber Press Street Survival Seminars which still exist today.

Go back to the roots as Denny tells us how things were then…and how much they’ve changed for the better since.

096 This Podcast is Surgeon General Approved!

Rich Carmona’s story is one that should have been in Reader’s Digest before it was in the ProArms Podcast.  Born poor in the barrio, he worked his way up from Green Beret medic to pioneer of the SWAT physician concept to Surgeon General of the United States.  But here’s what brings him to ProArms.

In 1999, while off-duty, Dr. Carmona encountered a mad dog murderer who was about to claim his second victim, a woman he was trying to carjack.  Carmona intervened, and when the criminal opened fire on him, the good doctor shot back and killed him.

We at the ProArms Podcast are honored to present the story of a doctor who used his expertise with a Colt .45 automatic to save the life of a soon-to-be victim, as well as his own.  We’ll never know how many more lives were saved when Dr. Carmona’s courageous action put a permanent end to a crazed killer’s rampage.

095 George Zimmerman and Don West

Observing the somber lessons of the recent fifth anniversary of the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman incident, we at the ProArms Podcast present George Zimmerman’s own story in his own words.  It was presented in February 2016 by Zimmerman and his co-counsel, Don West, at a Massad Ayoob Group MAG-40 class in Florida. This intense two-hour presentation offers the evidence the mainstream media didn’t touch.  This is one of the most compelling things we’ve ever posted at the ProArms Podcast.

In case you are not familiar with or need refreshing on the incident.
